The Arrupe Jesuit University Center for Ethics in Society is founded on the African notion that \u201cto be human is to be ethical.\u201d Human beings are endowed by numerous intelligences, capabilities, abnormalities and abilities. However, one underlying and essential characteristic of being human is to be ethical, despite the magnitude or the apparent outweighing of this notion by other evils, instrumental and techno-science capabilities.<\/p>\n
The Center for Ethics in Society aims to encourage, support, disseminate, publish and teach deep and relevant ethical dimensions of different disciplines, for instance, Religion, Business, Education, Environment, Humanitarian Actions, Governance, Medical, Military, Law, Media, Science, Technology, War and Security, and Information and Communication Technology, and Robotics.\u00a0 This center is founded on the idea of sharing and providing support resources for the teaching faculty of the college. It will bring together different faculty members from interdisciplinary backgrounds to reflect on pertinent ethical questions.
