Bachelor of  Education Honours Degree in Inclusive Education

Overview

At its core, inclusive is an educational approach that ensure that every child, irrespective of his or her background, abilities of learning needs, has equal opportunities for academic and social development. This paradigm to learning equality, necessitates a shift from the traditional and discriminatory one-size-fits all teaching methods towards more flexible, adaptive and learner-centred strategies.

Inclusive education recognises that all learners are unique, each processing their own strengths, challenges, experiences and perspectives to the learning environment. By embracing the trinity of diversity, equity and inclusion, inclusive education enriches the learning experience for all learners and promotes a more inclusive society.

Inclusive education plays a significant role in promoting equality and non-discrimination. In this regard, by ensuring that all learners, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds, have equal access to quality education, inclusive education helps to break down barriers and stereotypes, thus fostering a more equitable society.
