Arrupe Jesuit University (AJU), in collaboration with Seattle University and the Catholic University of Zimbabwe (CUZ), will host the 2026 Arrupe International Conference on AI and Cybersecurity on Thursday, 17 September 2026.
The conference will bring together academics, researchers, practitioners, students and other stakeholders to explore emerging developments and issues surrounding Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, education, digital governance, privacy and emerging technologies.
Taking place from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the AV Room at Arrupe Jesuit University, the conference will also be accessible online via Google Meet, providing an opportunity for participants beyond the campus to engage with the discussions.
The programme features keynote presentations, panel discussions and lightning talks, creating a platform for dialogue and the exchange of knowledge on some of the most significant technological developments shaping society today.
The collaboration between AJU, Seattle University and CUZ reflects a shared commitment to creating spaces for academic engagement and interdisciplinary dialogue on emerging technological issues. As Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies continue to transform education, workplaces and communities, questions surrounding cybersecurity, privacy, ethics and responsible use are becoming increasingly important.
The conference will provide participants with an opportunity to consider both the opportunities and challenges presented by these developments, while encouraging informed conversations around the responsible application of technology.
Students and staff of Arrupe Jesuit University are encouraged to participate in the conference where their academic schedules permit. Scheduled lectures and other academic commitments will take precedence over conference attendance.
